Gators hold on, defeat Oklahoma State
A home run fromFlorida's Katie Kistler in the fifth inning proved to be the difference maker as the Gators defeated Oklahoma State 1-0 in the opening round of the Women's College World Series.
The Cowgirls weren't able to answer with a run of their own with Florida pitcherKeagan Rothrock pitching an excellent seven-inning shutout with two hits allowed.

Game 4 is shaping up to be a pitcher's duel between aces Lexi Kilfoyl and Keagan Rothrock. Through three-and-a-half scoreless innings, Kilfoyl and Rothrock have struck out two batters apiece and have respective ERAs of 1.05 and 2.4. Oklahoma State has stranded three of its runners on base.

🤘 Texas shuts out Stanford
With bases juiced in the sixth, Texas' Kayden Henry sent a single to right field to plate Joley Mitchell and Katie Stewart. Stanford was unable to respond in the seventh, granting the top-seeded Longhorns their first win this year OKC, 4-0.
Ace Teagan Kavan pitched a complete game with eight Ks, four walks and a hit. The Longhorns will play the winner of Oklahoma State-Florida Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.

After two scoreless innings, Texas took control of the third.
Kayden Henry singled to first, grabbed second on a wild pitch, then advanced to third on Alyssa Washington's sac bunt. Following Bella Dayton's single, Henry scampered across home plate.

Dayton followed suit in the next at-bat; Mia Scott singled down the right field line to bring in Dayton, who was originally ruled out, but the call was later overturned. Texas finished the third up 2-0.

Oklahoma run-rules Duke
A two-run RBI from Oklahoma's Alyssa Brito gave the Sooners a 9-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning to run-rule Duke.Oklahoma advances to the winner's bracket, facing UCLAon Saturday.
Meanwhile, Duke falls to the loser's bracket and will play Alabama. The loser of that game will be eliminated.

Oklahoma tacked on three more runs in the fourth. Cydney Sanders sent a ball out of the park to bring in Riley Boone for a 6-1 advantage.
With pinch runner Maya Bland on second and Ella Parker on first, Kinzie Hansen hit a single to left center for Bland to score. The Sooners are now up 7-1.

In the bottom of the second, the Sooners stranded two runners in scoring position, unable to capitalize on the Blue Devils. OU starter Kelly Maxwell kept the Blue Devils silent in the third, adding a strikeout to her 4 on the afternoon.
Oklahoma found its swing in the bottom of the third, with Jayda Coleman singling to first and stealing second on Ella Parker's strikeout. Kinzie Hansen came for cleanup duty, swatting a ball beyond the left field wall for a 2-1 advantage.
Alyssa Brito drew a walk at the next at-bat, followed byAlynah Torres' no-looker for two more. The Sooners now lead 4-1.

With two up and two outs in the bottom of the 6th, UCLA's Jordan Woolery slammed a 3-RBI dinger to left center. The Bruins lead 4-1 going into the final inning of today's first WCWS game.
